![]() ![]() ini config files appear to differ from the Steam version slightly. The game uses a separate directory under My Games for storing saves, called "Skyrim Special Edition MS". However, there appears to be a separate Creation Credit balance. Creation Club purchases will sync both ways with at least the Steam version of the game. This seems to be the vast majority of ENB presets, unfortunately. However, any preset which relies on ENB Helper (which requires SKSE) will likely not work properly or will give unexpected results. Surprisingly, ENB also works, including presets. ![]() It appears that Bethesda's intention was for mods to immediately compatible, but until further research is done, modding this version is do-at-your-own-risk. ![]() Again, however, there are currently no mods made specifically for this version. Mods can be loaded either through the in-game menu or through placing their files into the appropriate area in the ModifiableWindowsApps folder. While mods made for the Steam SSE can be loaded, there are likely changes that will cause some or many mods to not work properly behind the scenes, and the Unofficial Patch team will almost certainly not support it. The SkyrimSE executable is a higher version than the one shipped through Steam (1.5.111.0, according to the file properties). It is unlikely there will be a version made for it, as there are technical limitations.ī. The game cannot be run using the executable in the ModifiableWindowsApps folder, and trying to start skse_loader.exe gives an error. There are a few caveats to this, though:ġ. The game is moddable, once you enable modding through the Game Pass app. I've done a little testing of the recently-released Skyrim Special Edition on the Windows 10 Game Pass, and here are some of my findings (TL DR at the bottom): ![]()
